Rubbernek’s design team were asked by a leading engine OEM to design and manufacture a fitting that would connect an SAE J518 flange connection to an SAE J1453-1 hose face seal connecter within a space that was highly restricted by the engine cross member support and the fuel pump.
After an on-site visit to the OEM, the Rubbernek design team came up with a fitting design that reminded us of a “cheese block”. The fitting was successful and was put into production after prototypes were proven. A photo of the fitting can be seen here.
