Machine Capacity Increased

Rubbernek takes delivery of a 68mm capacity Samsung SL 2000 BM turning centre with C axis with 1.5m barfeed. This now takes the total machine count to 18.

New Machine Investment

Rubbernek takes delivery of two new XYZ turning centres. An XYZ 52 turning centre without a barfeed, this is to be used exclusively for 2nd op and billet work, and a XYZ CT 65 LTY with 1.5m barfeed and Y axis capability.

Construction Complete

The extension is complete and signed off by building control, this has added an additional 600 square metres of floor space to our premises. New dedicated steel racking and warehouse racking will be installed in the coming months.

Supplier Excellence

Caterpillar recertifies Rubbernek with their “Supplier Excellence” recognition award but raising the award from certified to excellence status, to achieve this Rubbernek had to maintain a global on time delivery of 98% and PPM of less than 50 for a 12 month period.

Rubbernek takes delivery of another Citizen L32 to further boost capacity.

Rubbernek Growing

Rubbernek secure a significant new contract with a major customer resulting in 45 part numbers being added to our portfolio. This is a mix of high, medium, and low volume work.

Construction Commences!

Construction starts on the extension; the work will be completed in two phases. Phase one is the ground works which will see piled foundations installed and 450 tonnes of concrete poured to level the extension floor to the existing building floor level. Rubbernek takes delivery of a Mitutoyo CMM measuring machine in response to an influx of more complex components and higher quality demands from our existing customers.

Planning Application

Rubbernek has submitted a planning application to Walsall Council for a substantial extension to our premises.
